Scientifically known as Gardus Morhua.

 Dimensions average of 40 cm to 80 cm, weighs between 2 and 4 kilos,  lives in cold, deep waters in the North Atlantic and Pacific. Comes from the hake, white meat, consistent, delicate flavor, the color of their skin adapts to the environment.

 It is best prized for its meat and a source of cod liver oil.
