Known scientifically as Cuminum cyminum L.
 Dimensions average such as 1.5 cm thick X 5-6 mm long, oval, longitudinal ridges and covered by dense hairs giving it a rough feel.

 Owes most of its properties to the active substance in its essential oil, which allows its use as a tonic for stomach and intestinal stimulant that is used in the treatment of poor appetite, constipation or digestion. 

Also in treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases, for its analgesic and antibiotic, is used as a food supplement to treat diarrhea and disepsias, and even some anti-cancer power. Prepared externally as a poultice to treat skin blemishes and some muscle aches.
